About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Sheet Metal Team Leader to manage a small team and oversee the production of acoustic canopies and attenuation units. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring all team tasks are completed on time, to the highest quality standards, and within budget, while also leading the team’s performance and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, supervise, and motivate operators and support staff
  • Plan and allocate daily workloads in line with production schedules and priorities
  • Train team members in material handling, processes, and quality standards
  • Monitor team performance, attendance, and compliance with company procedures
  • Monitor production progress and address issues impacting quality, safety, or delivery
  • Reduce scrap and rework through effective planning, supervision, and process control
  • Identify and address fabrication errors, rework requirements, and non-conformances
  • Maintain accurate documentation relating to builds, inspections, and engineering changes
  • Conduct toolbox talks and report incidents and near-misses
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and tool control
  • Liaise with maintenance teams to address breakdowns and support preventative maintenance
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflow, efficiency, and quality
  • Provide feedback to management regarding resource requirements and operational challenges

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing supervisory or team leader role
  • Strong people-management and communication skills
  • Good understanding of production planning, quality control, and safety requirements
  • Experience working in a fabrication, manufacturing, or engineered environment
  • Proactive, problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage competing priorities
