Based in Loughborough, our manufacturing facility handles everything in-house — from raw material processing to welding, fabrication, painting, and full assembly of bespoke acoustic units. We currently have a vacancy for a Quality Inspector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance with ISO 9000:2015 standards, driving quality improvement actions.
- Inspect and verify welds and fabricated components meet industry standards and project specifications.
- Coordinate and manage welding and manufacturing documentation, including quality records and specifications.
- Oversee welding methods, procedures, and ensure non-conformance issues are identified, rectified, and retested.
- Ensure consistent high-quality fabrication and welding processes, managing calibration and equipment monitoring.
- Maintain safe and clean working environments, ensuring correct fabrication, welding procedures, and equipment usage.
- Collaborate with Production and Quality teams to maintain welding procedure conformity and assist in welder qualifications.
Key Skills:
- Strong knowledge of QMS and ISO 9000:2015 standards.
- Expertise in welding and fabrication procedures and quality inspections.
- Ability to coordinate and conduct internal audits.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong documentation skills.
- Collaborative mindset with good communication skills across teams
- NDT Dye Penetrant testing experience is desirable
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in welding and quality control roles.
- Relevant welding or quality certifications (e.g., AWS, CSWIP).
- Knowledge of ISO 9000:2015 and experience with non-destructive testing.
- NDT certification
- Health and Safety certifications and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
